By Mark Miller WisSports.net Editor Due to some rule changes by the NCAA, the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout will move from the Al McGuire Center on the campus of Marquette University to the R. John Buuck Field House at Concordia University in Mequon this December. In addition to a new location, the sixth annual event will add an entire day of competition and feature 30 teams and 26 games from December 27-28-29. Whitefish Bay Dominican will again serve as the host school for the WBY Shootout, which enters its sixth year of existence this December. Many of the top teams and top players from Wisconsin are scheduled to take part in the WBY Shootout. Marquee matchups include defending WIAA Division 1 state champion Arrowhead taking on both Germantown and Wauwatosa East. Bowman Academy of Gary, Indiana, which won the Indiana Class A state title last March, will take on Menomonee Falls and class of 2012 prospect J.P. Tokoto at 7 p.m. on Dec. 28 before meeting Milwaukee Hamilton and its collection of outstanding seniors at 7 p.m. on Dec. 29. Bowman Academy returns three starters from its state championship team, including 6-foot-5 class of 2012 prospect DeJuan Marerro. DeLaSalle Institute of Chicago returns three outstanding prospects in 6-7 senior Mike Shaw, 6-7 sophomore Alex Foster and 6-1 sophomore Jaylon Tate. The Meteors won the Chicago Catholic League title in 2009-10 and will take on Bowman Academy, Milwaukee Marquette and Milwaukee Washington at the WBY Shootout. While the majority of teams taking part in the WBY Shootout come from the greater Milwaukee area, several schools from outside the area will also participate, including De Pere, Eau Claire Regis, Onalaska, Oshkosh North and Sun Prairie.
