A matchup featuring two of the top players in the country in the class of 2015 highlight the pairings for the ninth annual Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout, set for December 26-27-28 at the Buuck Fieldhouse on the campus of Concordia University in Mequon.

Diamond Stone of Whitefish Bay Dominican and Henry Ellenson of Rice Lake will square off in a much-anticipated showdown at 6:00 p.m. on December 27. Seating capacity at the Buuck Fieldhouse is around 2,000 so fans are encouraged to arrive early.

Stone is a 6-foot-9 post player who is ranked No. 1 in the country in the class of 2015 by Scout.com while Ellenson is a 6-9 forward who is ranked No. 22 nationally in 2015 by ESPN.com.

Both Stone and Ellenson have scholarship offers from Marquette and Wisconsin, among many other offers.

A total of 30 high schools from Wisconsin are scheduled to take part in the WBY Shootout, which features 27 games over the three-day period.

Two-time defending WIAA Division 1 state champion Germantown, which enters the season with a 56-game winning streak, will get tested by two teams expected to contend for league championships in Milwaukee Vincent of the Milwaukee City Conference and Oshkosh North of the Fox Valley Association.

Germantown, which returns four starters from its 28-0 squad, plays Vincent at 7:30 p.m. on December 27 before taking on Oshkosh North at 7:30 p.m. on December 28.

The Warhawks are led by seniors Lamonte Bearden (6-2), Evan Wesenberg (6-7), Jake Showalter (6-3), Jon Averkamp (6-6), Dearionte Hudson (5-8) and Brian Bearden (6-1).

Germantown beat Oshkosh North, which returns all five starters from a club that went 23-4, in the state semifinals at the Kohl Center last March.

In addition to playing Stone and Dominican, Ellenson and Rice Lake will square off against Neenah, which features 6-10 class of 2015 prospect Matt Heldt, at 3:00 p.m. on December 28.

Dominican, which will serve as the host school for the WBY Shootout for the eighth consecutive season, also plays at 4:30 p.m contest on December 28 against old Metro Conference rival Catholic Memorial.

West De Pere, which is led by 6-8 class of 2015 prospect Cody Schwartz, also is slated for a pair of games at the WBY Shootout.

The Phantoms, who finished 20-3 a year ago, play Racine Case at 3:00 p.m. on December 26 and Milwaukee Washington at noon on December 27.

Racine Case returns its entire starting rotation from a team that went 22-4 and lost to Milwaukee King in a Division 1 sectional final while Milwaukee Washington tied King for the City Conference title last season.

De Pere and Arrowhead, two teams expected to be ranked among the top 10 Division 1 schools when preseason rankings are released in the fall, will meet at 9:00 p.m. on December 27.

De Pere, which is led by class of 2015 sharpshooting wing guard Brevin Pritzl, also squares off against Milwaukee Riverside at 9:00 p.m. on December 28 while Arrowhead, which is about as deep as any team in the greater Milwaukee area, also will face Milwaukee Vincent at 6:00 p.m. on December 28.

Mukwonago, which lost to Germantown in the WIAA Division 1 title game, will meet Ashwaubenon, which is led by class of 2015 wing prospect Kyle Monroe, at 4:30 p.m. on December 26.

Wisconsin Lutheran, which lost to Pulaski in the WIAA Division 2 championship game two months ago, will play two games against two quality opponents in Milwaukee Marquette and Oshkosh North.

Some of the premier small-school teams in Wisconsin also will participate in the WBY Shootout.

Destiny, which is led by Green Bay recruit Jerrelle DeBerry, will play Milwaukee Riverside and Wauwatosa East while Brookfield Academy, which is led by prolific scoring wing guard Sean Clarey, plays Kettle Moraine Lutheran and Manitowoc Roncalli.
